Once again,
the ACF Gulf to Lakes Chefs & Cooks Association, Eustis High School's
Culinary Programs, and friends were out in full force to
support the Christian Care Center (CCC) and those that are less fortunate.
This morning (Sunday, 10-4-09) some of us met at Eustis High School (EHS)
at 9:30 AM and the rest met at the CCC in Leesburg. These are high school
students that could have been doing other things (such as sleeping),
volunteered their time to help someone less fortunate. These wonderful
young adults felt it was more important to bring some happiness to others.
Is this not the true meaning of giving back to the community? I want to
thank Bill & Kathy Peck, Mike Oliver, and Chef Dane Gillis, CEC fro giving
of their time to mentor and support our wonderful students. Everyone
had a fantastic time.
